Japanese Television Makers Raise White Flag

After a long time attempting to take over the world's television market, Sony and Panasonic, who long dominated the television industry back when analog televisions were the norm, but with cheap TVs coming out of Korea and Taiwan for much less money from those two countries, the Japanese companies have said that they don't expect to sell significant numbers of televisions in the next year. Output from Panasonic is slated to be cut by half and Sony has said that they will do the same. There are a number of television companies out there selling tons of inexpensive sets these days.
